The neighborhood of Sherbrooke was established in 1987, in the highly sought-after area of the "Far West End" of Richmond in Henrico County. Sherbrooke is a community of 175 traditional and contemporary homes nestled in the heart of Short Pump. We are just minutes from I-64, I-295 and Route 288.
Most of our homes are situated on wooded lots with mature trees lining the streets and are clustered in cul-de-sacs. Our community features a rich diversity of families. Our homeowners work in a wide variety of industries and services including the fields of healthcare, law & law enforcement, advertising, sales & marketing, IT, engineering, finance, education, real estate and many more valued careers.
Sherbrooke's community is supported by our Sherbrooke Neighborhood Association, Inc. The Association's Executive Board is elected every 2 years and is made up of homeowners who volunteer their time and energy for the good of the neighborhood. The Association Board wants our neighborhood to be one that all of us can be proud of, a neighborhood that is working to retain its property values and one that promotes living in peace and harmony. It does collect an Annual Dues at the beginning of each year; the purpose for collecting that dues is to provide money for the upkeep of our entry signs and the road and traffic signage, maintenance of the plantings at the entries, administrative costs and communication materials, occasional neighborhood activities, and insurance to protect our Board Members. There is also an Architectural Review Committee (ARC) that looks at major exterior property changes to protect the neighborhood's real estate values; the ARC reports to the Board. This is just a short list of how the Association strives to enrich the lives of Sherbrooke families.
Sherbrooke can boast a "Blue Ribbon" elementary school, new middle school and a highly ranked high school which affords our children a superior public education. We are just a stone's throw away from office parks, grocery stores, banks, libraries, parks and recreation centers, restaurants and a major shopping mall, The Short Pump Towne Center. These are but a few of the retail conveniences Sherbrooke enjoys.
The Sherbrooke subdivision is an active, caring community. Whether you are looking to buy as a new homeowner in Sherbrooke or are looking to relocate within our neighborhood, we invite you to read more about the neighborhood by visiting other pages on this site.
